The Brain of Things (BoT) in the Internet of Things (IoT)

BoT concept and acronym add an important feature to those interconnected and automated Things,

- The Hardware:

Trapezium One (first generation) is a demo board concept that is born to concentrate in a single miniaturized module with the stacking possibility the old but not replaceable (in terms of automation) RS485, two half duplex, redundant and available also from Type-C, a 40 pin general purpose female header connector as well as extension modules stakable on the MikroBus socket (Wi-Fi, ETH, 6LoWPaN, 868MHz, LoRa etc).

Avior is fruit of very long time rearch and several revision. Is done in simplicity and modular. One of the possibile use involve the pairing it with another Trapezium module for redundancy, a total failsafe solution. And for Higher level of redundancy or mixed option it can be used in Avior5 that embed in a narrow space 5 trpezium modules for Avionics grade redundancy.

Released revision One, this is the first of other possible future revisions where type-C and the 40 pin general purpose female header connector are fixed, but other new powerful modules are fitted on it, and the design easily adapted. In order to sport future generation of what is today ESP32-WROOM32D with Dualcore Espressif LX6 - also used in Echo better known as Amazon Alexa. A major switch for modules will be future 64 bit MCU, larger RAM and flash, less power used for the same workload.

With in it expressed a new form factor, stripped down at minimum and maximized in connectio ncapability, a new way to see it or them trough RS-485 where bootloader is updated via USB or in the same RS-485 network. The Same Type-C offers I2C connectovity, power in or power out, redundand (2x) RS-485 that could be used externally in old fashioned copper or easily tranlated in fiber optics at a ridicoulous costs.

 

The cost optimization on it, can not be iterated more than this. (we reached the end of a long journey).

 

Supported add-in cards & Headers:

Trapezium One support 1x MikroBus-Clickboards stacked

in the extension sockets (or more depending the add-in board how is done), other connections are handled via USB Type-C headers or the rear 40 pin rear connector.

The Type-C is a very well done and cheap connector, it solved also the problem since have let us to concentrate USB many signals, as well as full redundand RS485 20Mbit bus (easy translable in differential fiber optics) all over 1 single connector. I2C, power in and out, as it is important and omnipresent.

Wired Networking

RS485 (redundant half duplex) - Copper wires  optional(simple) external SC/ST adaptor for Fiber Optics (Tao Fiber technology).

Wireless Networking

LoRa modules, over MikroBus. (LoRa PHY was fully decyphered, Here)
