Mizar32 project provides an easy way to use the hardware and software of a 32 bit microcontroller.

Built with simplicity in mind for a wide range of users, embedded beginners can simply program Mizar32 with an USB cable and Open Source programming software.

The application code can also be loaded from SDCard.

The hardware takes the shape of a 9x6cm micro-controller module board based on AVR32 UC3 family where the additional modules that extend its functionality can be stacked up using just what needed for each application, optimizing cost without leaving CPU resources fixed for a specific task. A set of hardware modules is provided, with the hope that more and more based on this open standard will follow. Overall we can define a Mizar32 hardware system as a Stacked Multi Board Computer (SMBC).

The base software, eLua, is a modern high level script-language based on Lua with embedded extensions and customizations. It is highly adaptable, field-programmable and reconfigurable for custom designs.

The software and the hardware have a very wide audience, starting from newcomers to the embedded world who want an easy and powerful environment and hardware for prototyping, rapid application development and quick production, to skilled developers who want to follow a productive and elegant way to code in a robust portable language, which is already the fastest scripting language known.

Mizar is manufacturer friendly, offering a base system and letting the designer focus on their core hardware and software and avoiding the difficulties and long design cycles of custom hardware, simply by interfacing, extending or modifying the existing modules. The design is offered with all the project files and manufacturing files, made with the state of the art open source software tools.
